Break-even ROAS and real profit margin, product by product
You spend on ads without knowing the point where a sale starts costing you money. ROAS Analyzer Pro calculates, for every product, the profit you actually keep and the break-even ROAS you cannot go below.
- Version1.0.0
- LicenceGNU GPL v2 or later
- WordPress5.6 or later, PHP 7.2 or later
- WooCommerce5.0 or later, HPOS compatible
- SuppliersCJ Dropshipping, BigBuy, TVC-Mall, supdropshipping, AliExpress
- Every calculation runs on your own server
- Never changes a price or an order
- No campaign paused without your approval
What gets deducted before margin
- VAT — removed first, because a tax you collect was never revenue.
- Payment fees — per gateway, at the rate each one actually charges.
- Shipping actually paid — not the shipping you invoiced.
- Fixed business costs — as a share of turnover, so overhead is not free.
- Cost of goods — historised, so last quarter’s margin is not recomputed with today’s price.
The problem
A blended ROAS never tells you which product loses money
Ad platforms report on revenue. Profitability happens product by product: two items at the same ROAS can hold 40 % margin and 6 % margin.
Managing on a blended ROAS target
- One ROAS target is applied to the whole catalogue, while every product has its own threshold.
- VAT, payment fees, shipping actually paid and fixed costs appear in no calculation.
- Margin is theoretical: it ignores discounts granted, refunds and the shipping you really billed.
- Purchase costs are retyped by hand, or date back to the last supplier order.
- Pause and scale decisions are made product by product, manually, every week.
With ROAS Analyzer Pro
- Every product and variation carries its own break-even ROAS and a recommended ROAS that keeps a safety margin.
- All four cost lines are deducted before any margin figure is produced.
- A margin actually sold column is computed from real orders, to compare against theory.
- Purchase costs can be pulled from your suppliers automatically, by SKU or reference.
- A weekly module proposes scale, keep, reduce or pause — and waits for your approval.
The ROAS a product would need to reach before it stops losing money on ads, when it holds €6.31 of net margin on a €69.89 selling price. On the same store, another item breaks even at 1.70. A single blended target treats both identically.
What the plugin does
Six functions, inside the WooCommerce admin
No external dashboard, no account to create. The plugin adds screens to the administration you already use.
Profitability table
Every published product, with purchase cost, price, net margin and the gap between the margin you expect and the one you actually sold.
Break-even ROAS
The exact return on ad spend below which a product costs you money, computed per product and per variation — plus a recommended ROAS that keeps a buffer.
Margin actually sold
Rebuilt from real orders: discounts granted, refunds issued and shipping genuinely paid. This is the number that disagrees with the theory — and it is the one that matters.
Automatic supplier costs
Purchase costs imported from CJ Dropshipping, BigBuy, TVC-Mall, supdropshipping and AliExpress, matched by SKU or reference. No retyping, no stale figures.
Google Ads steering
A weekly proposal per product — scale, keep, reduce, pause — with the margin tier, budget impact and the reason behind it. Nothing is applied without you.
REST API
Margins and break-even thresholds exposed as endpoints, so your own scripts, spreadsheets or automations can read them.
What you configure
Settings that reflect your store, not an industry average
| Payment fees per gateway | Detected from the gateways enabled in WooCommerce, then adjustable. Stripe, PayPal and the rest do not charge the same rate, and averaging them hides the difference. |
| Fixed business costs | As a percentage of turnover. Hosting, tools, subscriptions and salaries are not free, and a margin that ignores them is not a margin. |
| VAT and countries | The applicable rate is removed before margin, per destination country. Collected tax was never yours. |
| Target margin and thresholds | The tiers that classify a product as healthy, thin or loss-making — set by you, because a 5 % margin is comfortable in one trade and fatal in another. |
| Steering guardrails | Maximum budget variation, minimum data volume before a proposal is made, products excluded from steering entirely. |
| Role permissions | Who sees purchase costs and who does not. Margin data is rarely something an entire team should read. |

What you can rely on
Four operating guarantees
Calculations stay with you
Everything runs on your own server. No margin figure, no purchase cost and no order ever leaves your installation.
Your orders are never touched
The plugin reads. It does not write prices, does not edit orders and does not alter stock.
Uninstalling erases nothing
Purchase costs you entered remain in the database. Removing the plugin is not a decision you have to think twice about.
No campaign changed without you
The steering module proposes. Applying a change is always a decision you make, in Google Ads, yourself.

What this plugin does not do
Knowing where a tool stops is worth more than a feature list. If one of these points rules it out for you, better to find out now.
| It is not accounting software | It produces management figures, not a ledger. Nothing here is filed with a tax authority, and no entry is generated. |
| No purchase cost, no margin | A product without a cost of goods appears in a « missing cost » column rather than in a margin figure. The plugin will not invent it. |
| Ads data comes from a script | The Google Ads figures are collected by a script you install; there is no official API connection to configure and no OAuth flow. |
| Five suppliers, not all of them | Automatic cost import covers CJ Dropshipping, BigBuy, TVC-Mall, supdropshipping and AliExpress. Any other supplier means manual entry or CSV. |
| Large catalogues | Beyond several thousand products, expect to schedule the heavier recalculations rather than run them on demand. |
| WooCommerce, not Dolibarr | For cost of goods and net margin inside Dolibarr, that is a different tool — NexoraMargin. |

Frequently asked questions
Does the plugin work without connecting to an ad platform?
Yes. The profitability table, net margin and break-even ROAS are computed from your WooCommerce data alone. Connecting Google Ads adds the weekly steering proposals, nothing else.
Does it modify my prices or my orders?
No. The plugin only reads. It writes nothing to prices, orders or stock — which is also why uninstalling it changes nothing about your store.
Is it compatible with HPOS?
Yes, high-performance order storage is supported. It also works on the legacy post-based order storage.
Should I enter purchase costs excluding or including VAT?
Excluding VAT. VAT is removed from the selling price before margin is computed, so a cost entered including tax would understate your margin on every single product.
Is any of my data sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation runs on your server. The only outbound calls are the ones you configure yourself: supplier cost imports, and the licence check for updates.
What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?
Purchase costs and settings stay in the database. Reinstalling recovers them; nothing is wiped on deactivation.
Can the steering module pause my campaigns on its own?
No. It produces proposals with a stated reason. Applying them is a manual action you take in Google Ads.
Does the plugin stop working if I do not renew?
No. It is licensed under the GNU GPL v2 or later and keeps functioning. What the licence controls is access to updates and support.
Know your break-even ROAS before you raise a budget
A blended target hides the products that lose money on every sale. Compute the threshold product by product, and decide with the real number.
